Two Tickets Claim Mega Millions $494 Million Top Prize
We can't say it was totally unexpected but last night's Mega Millions lottery drawing generated not one, but two jackpot-winning tickets. The jackpot at the time of the drawing was an estimated $494 million dollars. Based on what we know now, the game's top prize will be split equally between the two ticket holders.
In Louisiana, there were no Mega Millions tickets sold in the state that were over $10,000 dollars. However, there are multiple tickets with significant dollar amounts attached to them.
Here is last night's drawing so you can check your numbers.
If you were unable to watch the video, the numbers drawn were:
09 22 26 41 44 Megaball 19 Megaplier x2
As we mentioned, there were no big-money tickets sold in Louisiana for last night's drawing. But the Louisiana Lottery website is showing that 20 different tickets sold in Louisiana have prize money of $200 or more attached to them. Three of those tickets are being shown as $1000 winners.
The jackpot winners for last night were sold in San Jose California and believe it or not, in hurricane-ravaged Fort Myers Florida. I am sure there will be more on that story in the coming days.
Lottery players tonight will be focusing on the Powerball game. That game has an estimated top prize of $454 million. But don't let Powerball be the only place you look to enhance your Christmas club account. Lotto in Louisiana has a top prize of $1.3 million and Easy 5 is boasting a jackpot of $190,000.
We're not saying you should buy tickets for those games but it would not be surprising for at least one of those games to produce a winner. Our observations also suggest the Powerball game's top prize will be won by next Wednesday too. No, we don't know what the numbers will be.
