With rain in the forecast in the next few hours, we are looking for the temperature to drop in the 20's later tonight, and this is going to lead to highs tomorrow in the '40s and back to the colder temperatures at night. While it is advised that many people need to stay home, it is understood that many of you will still have to go to work especially with local casinos and those in the industrial field.

Last year we were faced with a freeze in February that was echoed around the world. I remember waking up on the day of the freeze and thinking about how cold I was on that day. The first thing I did was get up to turn some heat on. My wife was already up and said that the power was off. That was a cold day that day and even though Entergy was working tirelessly to get things back up and going, it was still one of the coldest days that I can remember, and I was actually sick on that day as well with a Bronchitis infection, so needless to say I am not looking forward to that again.

If you are traveling or have to go to work, it is best that you wear a couple of extra pieces of clothing including socks, an extra sweater, or a sweatshirt to make sure you are warm enough. You may even want to carry an extra thick coat with you for those random stops you may have to make
