Meek Mill Steps Up Efforts To Reform Criminal Justice System

The Championships rap superstar per is co-founder of an organization called, REFORM Alliance, to address America's broken criminal justice system. Beginning with eradication old laws and policies on probation and parole, Mill has rallied some support from celebrity heavyweights from all walks of life. Lobbying for change CNN's Van Jones is the CEO and board members include 76'ers owner Michael Rubin, rap icon/philanthropist Jay Z,  Patriots owner Robert Kraft, Panther's founder Robert F. Smith, Brooklyn Nets owner Clara Wu Tsai, and many others.

Earlier this year Meek, whose real name is Robert Williams announced he bought into the LIDS franchise. His investment turned out to be a three-for-one ownership deal that included sports merch Fanatics and lids giant Ames Watson. Now the Philly rap star has the perfect outlet to raise money and awareness for the REFORM initiative.

Meek said of the new Dream Chaser caps,

“Having my own line with Lids is special, but I’m especially proud that proceeds from this hat will be used to help fix the broken criminal justice system.” He continued, “I’m grateful that our team at Lids was committed to making a hat that’s stylish, but will go toward a greater cause.”
