It's time to celebrate summer break, and what better way to do it than at the park with all your friends? SWLA families are invited to a new summer celebration like no other. Are you ready to have some fun? Make plans to attend the Phillips 66 STEM Family Fun Day In The Park!

This annual free event is for everyone and will start early to avoid the hottest part of the day. Save the date and join the fun on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 8:30 am to 10:30 am at Drew Park 416 Dr Michael Debakey Dr, in Lake Charles. LA. The City of Lake Charles and Phillips 66 are joining forces as part of the Partner In Parks initiative as a way to encourage residents to get out and enjoy the many beautiful parks in SWLA.

Kids can board the Phillips 66 Fire Truck and explore with hands-on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) activities and sensory projects. Make glitter slime and elephant toothpaste, lava lamps, play with dry ice bubbles, create volcanos, and fire snakes. The Children's Museum will be on hand with fossil digs and erector sets while learning to build their own refinery.

Coca-Cola will provide refreshments, while the City and Phillips treat residents with popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones, and snacks. Don't miss it! For more info about this event, call (337) 491-1280 or email parks@cityoflc.us. Enjoy a morning filled with STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) activities in Drew Park.
