WWLTV reports Louisiana has ended its three-year contract and will no longer participate in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. According to Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser, it's not worth the investment. Nungesser said Louisiana had seen no return on the three-year contract of rolling in the legendary New York parade.

Nungesser reportedly said this is likely due to parade organizers rushing the state's Celebration Gator float by cameras. That doesn't mean Louisiana's famous float is headed back to the bayou. The massive 60-foot float is going to crawl back to the West Coast where the state's 1 million dollar investment, was well worth the expense to roll in the 2024 New Year's Day Rose Parade

Channel 4 News reports Celebration Gator will ring in 2025 at the Rose Parade in Pasadena, California on New Year's Day. Here's more on what the Lieutenant Governor said

In August, the Pasadena Tournament of Roses announced that Explore Louisiana will once again present the Mid-Parade Performance. The Pelican States' new float brings the Louisiana story alive. The gator is wearing Mardi Gras beads, with a replica of a Cajun dance hall and pots of boiled seafood on its back.

For the fourth year in a row, Louisiana will provide live entertainment. The 2025 performance will feature Country Music's newest artist,  Timothy Wayne, singing "Louisana Saturday Night." Wayne is fresh off tour with his uncle, Country legend and Louisiana native Tim McGraw
