The American Press is reporting that facility will be a 250,000-square-foot complex used for multiple sports like basketball, volleyball, pickleball.

Harrington also said that an indoor walking track, a fitness facility, and "even the possibility of transitioning the walking track into a skating rink" are further possible amenities that could be added to the facility.
Mayor Marshall Simien said during the meeting that the city needed to find a spot soon for the complex because time for the $30 million Community Development Block Grant from the Disaster Recovery Program was running out. He feared that if they didn't agree on a site, that Lake Charles would lose the money.
It's believed that the complex will attract regional and national sport tournaments that will drive tourist business to Lake Charles hotels, restaurants, retail stores, and more.
