Lake Charles, LA [KNGT-FM] - Later this month, Southwest Louisiana residents will have the opportunity to enjoy an afternoon filled with music, games, food, and community spirit while supporting an important cause.

KPLC meteorologist Wade Hampton is inviting the public to attend Moo-sical Bingo, a special fundraising event benefiting the American Cancer Society. Hampton is serving as one of this year's American Cancer Society Barons and is helping raise money and awareness in the fight against cancer through this unique community event.

The fundraiser is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, at the CFMA building in Lake Charles, located at 3481 East Prien Lake Road. The doors open at 1:00 p.m., and musical bingo begins at 2:00 p.m. Organizers have planned an entertaining lineup of activities designed to keep guests engaged throughout the day while supporting cancer research and patient programs.

Unlike traditional bingo, musical bingo challenges participants to identify songs rather than numbers. The event will be hosted by popular local entertainer DJ Goldfinger, who will provide the soundtrack for the afternoon's festivities.

Attendees are encouraged to embrace the event's creative Western-themed dress code. Participants can choose a cancer awareness ribbon color that has personal significance to them or someone they know and incorporate it into a Western-inspired outfit.

The fun doesn't stop when bingo ends. Live music performances are scheduled to follow the event, featuring local favorites Ceth Talbot, JP Primeaux, and Aaron Istre, giving attendees even more reasons to stay and celebrate.
