(KNGT-FM) - If you're planning to travel this summer, you might want to check this out! It looks as if TSA has banned yet another pretty commonly used item from being in your checked luggage on an airplane. We've got everything you need to know about it and what the alternative might be.

It feels like every time you go to the airport, there is another rule or step you have to follow. Which, in reality, is probably a necessary precaution for the safety of us, the fliers, but you know we're all still going to gripe about it!

The latest change has been the requirements of the Real ID throughout now only Louisiana and Texas, but also across the entire United States. This has really caused an uproar, especially since it quite literally only adds a STAR to the top of your driver's license. (We know there's more to it than that, but still...)

Now, there is another change coming to the TSA process, which means you can no longer throw this item in your luggage and not have anything to worry about...

TSA HAS BANNED ANOTHER POPULAR ITEM FROM YOUR CHECKED BAGS

This isn't *technically* a new change, but it is probably one that was overlooked during the chaos of the Real ID earlier this year. TSA announced earlier in the year that portable chargers powered by lithium-ion batteries are no longer allowed in checked bags. However, you can still carry them on your flight, but you just have to carry them inside your carry-on bag.

The official verbiage from the TSA Website states...

"Portable chargers or power banks containing a lithium-ion battery must be packed in carry-on bags. Spare lithium batteries, which include both power banks and phone chargers, are prohibited in checked luggage."

19 Items Absolutely Banned from Checked Bags at Louisiana Airports

You may be familiar with what you can and cannot pack in your carry-on. But how familiar with items banned from your checked luggage? These are 19 of the more than 50 items that can't fly in your checked bag according to the TSA.
