Y’all, I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited in my life, well, except maybe that time I found an extra chicken nugget at the bottom of the box. But THIS? This is next-level excitement! The Dolly Run is coming to SWLA, and I am ready to run, strut, eat, and possibly bedazzle myself into oblivion. We’re talkin’ big hair, big fun, and big country vibes, so if you see me sprinting in cowboy boots or doing the two-step across the finish line, just know I’m living my best life.

The Dolly Run is rolling into Southwest Louisiana, and it’s bringing glitter, music, and more fun than a honky-tonk on a Friday night! Whether you want to run, walk, strut, or just eat your way through the festivities, there’s a little somethin’ for everyone at this Dolly-tastic (yes that is a word now) event!

5K/1K Walk/Run: Boot Scoot Your Way to the Finish Line!
Whether you're a seasoned runner or just here for the snacks at the finish line, this 5K/1K Walk/Run is open to all ages and fitness levels. The best part? Music stations along the route will keep your spirits high and your feet movin’ to the beat of some good ol’ country tunes, especially the Queen of Country herself, Dolly Parton! If you’ve ever wanted to hear "9 to 5" while you jog, this is your moment.

The Dolly Stroll: Big Hair, Don’t Care!
Not a runner? No problem, honey! You can still be part of the fun by dressing up as Dolly or your favorite Dolly-inspired character and strolling down the runway on Ryan Street! This costume contest will crown two winners, Best Dolly and Best Dolly Character, so get your wig, rhinestones, and sass ready. If you don’t leave covered in glitter, did you even Dolly Stroll?

Mini Country Fair: Food, Fun, and a Whole Lotta Love
After the run, stick around for the Mini Country Fair, where you can chow down on good eats, play fun games, and enjoy activities all inspired by Dolly Parton and reading. Think classic fair fun with a country twist, plus, you won’t have to worry about getting caught in traffic on the way to the food stands!

Book Donation Station: Give the Gift of Reading
In true Dolly fashion, this event isn’t just about fun, it’s about giving back! Bring a new or gently used children's book to donate. These books will go to local teachers for their classroom libraries, because every kid deserves a good book to read. (Teachers, you can even apply to receive books for your classrooms!)

Live Entertainment: Sing It, Y’all!
What’s a Dolly-themed event without some live country music? Local middle and high school bands and choirs will be performing Dolly classics and other country hits, so get ready to clap, sing along, and maybe even shed a happy tear when you hear “Jolene” played by a marching band.

VIP Breakfast: A Special Treat for Sponsors
If you’re a sponsor of this amazing event, you’ll be treated to an exclusive VIP breakfast on a separate date, featuring a guest speaker on the importance of childhood literacy. It’s a great way to support the cause, learn a little, and eat something besides fair food (even though we all know that’s half the reason we’re showing up).

Food & Beverage Vendors: Come Hungry!
What’s a festival without some good food and drinks? We’ll have plenty of food and beverage vendors serving up delicious bites to keep you fueled all day long. Whether you're craving something sweet, salty, or deep-fried beyond recognition, we got you covered!

How to Get Involved!
Don’t miss out on this one-of-a-kind event that celebrates fitness, fun, reading, and the legend herself, Dolly Parton! Whether you’re running, walking, strutting, or just showing up for the food, there’s a place for you at the Dolly Run!
