One of the big names to watch is former Louisiana-Lafayette and Oklahoma pitcher Sam Landry, who recently joined the Volts after an incredible college career. You'll also see other standout players who have represented Team USA or made names for themselves at the college level.

The AUSL is backed by Major League Baseball and is getting a big push from local (and National) legend, Jennie Finch! Jennie is working as an advisor for the league, making sure players have a great experience on and off the field. Jennie also works with ESPN as a softball analyst, so you might even see or hear her during the ESPN2 broadcast this week.

The AUSL games in Sulphur will be happening at the same time as the Jennie Finch World Series. This event is a big youth softball tournament that brings in teams from all over the country. It runs from June 12 to June 15 at North Frasch and Pattison Park. Meanwhile, the AUSL professional games will take place from June 12 to June 14 at McMurry Park. This means young players and fans will get to enjoy both top-level pro softball and youth championship games all in the same weekend.

Thursday’s game between the Volts and Bandits will be broadcast live on ESPN2.
