Must See: Lake Charles Woman Dresses Like The Capital One Tower For Halloween
Halloween is upon us and people all over the area are celebrating by dressing up in cool creative ways to celebrate the holiday. Over this past weekend, we were invited over to Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder, Louisiana to be celebrity judges for their Halloween Costume Contest and party.
The amount of creativity that goes into these costumes is pretty impressive. We saw crazy-looking costumes like a floating angel which was controlled by someone off stage using a remote control moving a cloud around while a real-life person floated over the cloud and moved across the floor.
Another costume that stood out was a pair dressed up as Jigsaw from the movie series Saw and Annabelle. These two gave us the creeps for sure. Check out what they looked like below.
How freaky is that? They were the eventual winners of the entire contest taking home the $5000 cash prize.
While judging, a contestant came on stage, and as soon as we saw her costume it immediately stood out because as soon as you saw it, you knew exactly what she was. It was the Capital One Tower which once stood in downtown Lake Charles.
Her costume was complete with all the angles of the building and even the wood in the windows which were put there after all the damage it suffered from Hurricane Laurea in 2020. If you don't know. the Capital One building stands no more as it was imploded back in September 2024 forever changing the skyline.
We thought it was a great and creative costume and also a haunting tribute to the skyline that was changed in September. Check out her costume.
How awesome is that? After the contest was over we had Coushatta give her the honorable mention costume prize and she was thrilled. Scotty and I went up to her and she told us that she lived in Lake Charles. We just thought it was so creative and we wanted to share it with all of you.
Check out below what the Capital One building used to look like inside before Hurricane Laura tore it up and it was imploded.
