Well-Known Restaurant Opens Newest Location in Louisiana
[KNGT-FM] Let's face it. The hardest thing to do in life is to decide on where to eat dinner each night. Whether you're single or married, you know the struggle of trying to agree on not only the type of food you and your significant other want to eat, but when you finally determine that, the next issue is where to go to eat.
Do you deal with that regularly? Having options is always helpful when those discussions come up. Good news, foodies, you now have another option as a new, well-known restaurant that you are familiar with has opened up its newest location in Southwest Louisiana.
We reported to you back in February 2025 that we noticed a sign saying that a new restaurant was coming to Westlake, Lousiiana. We even saw stirrings of construction workers at the location, working on fixing up the place.
The restaurant we are talking about is the Blue Iguana Taco Bar & Cantina, who already have a location in Lake Charles. It is located in the old Hong Kong restaurant located at 629 W Prien Lake Road in Lake Charles. The restaurant is known for its queso dips, fajitas, and tacos.

The new location is in Westlake, Louisiana, on 920 Sampson Street. They posted on Facebook yesterday that they were now open for business in Westlake. They said,
Westlake, the wait is over! Blue Iguana Taco Bar & Cantina is NOW OPEN starting TODAY! The tacos are hot. The tequila is cold. And Westlake just got a whole lot more fun. Come fiesta with us!
They are also looking to hire people, so if you are looking for work, you may want to visit the Westlake location and apply.
