Festival Schedule For This Weekend In Louisiana – May 17–19
Lake Charles, Louisiana (KNGT-FM) - Louisiana residents know what I'm talking about when I say we literally have a festival weekend for EVERYTHING here in the Bayou State. Well, we're going to take a look at some of the festivals and events going on across the state this week.
Louisiana has some of the wildest and most off-the-wall festivals you can imagine. I’m talking about things like the Natchitoches Meat Pie Festival, where people celebrate a snack with a parade and live music. Then there’s the Shrimp and Petroleum Festival—yep, shrimp and oil in one party. We’ve got frog festivals, squirrel cook-offs, and even pirogue races. It’s all super fun, a little weird, and totally Louisiana.
Cruisin' Cajun Country – May 15–17, 2025
Cruisin' Cajun Country is a four-day celebration of classic cars and Cajun culture in New Iberia. Cruisin' Cajun Country features scenic drives, car shows, and plenty of delicious local food. It's a great way to experience the charm of southern Louisiana while admiring vintage vehicles.
