Lake Charles, Louisiana (KNGT-FM) - It appears as if the rumors are true, as a popular steakhouse in Lake Charles has officially shut its doors for good.

It feels like that statement is being said about a lot of things more often than ever, not only in Southwest Louisiana but around the entire country. When the big chains are closing, that's a tell-all sign at times.

According to a report earlier this year from The Takeout, a lot of steakhouses across the Country were reportedly "struggling.' Here are the restaurant brands the report listed...

  • Black Angus Steakhouse
  • Logan's Roadhouse
  • Sirloin Stockade
  • Western Sizzlin'
  • Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon
  • Charlie Brown's Fresh Grill
  • Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar
  • BLT Steak and BLT Prime
  • Kona Grill
  • Outback Steakhouse

Now, only a few of these are really well known to folks in Louisiana. But, after closing one Louisiana location earlier this year without an explanation, it looks like Lake Charles is the next location on the chopping block.

Over the weekend, there were rumors that Logan's Roadhouse might be shutting its doors in Southwest Louisiana, and it appears that is officially the case. You can see that by just checking out a quick Google Search of the Logans here in Lake Charles, as in big red letters, it reads, "PERMANENTLY CLOSED."

There has been no *OFFICIAL* statement released about the closure, but when the location in Alexandria closed earlier in June, there wasn't a statement released there either.
