Jellystone Park In Lake Charles Goes Zydeco For Memorial Day Weekend
Lake Charles, LA [KNGT-FM] - Memorial Day Weekend is shaping up to be one big celebration in Southwest Louisiana as Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park RV Resort in Lake Charles prepares for a packed weekend of camping, live music, family activities, and Zydeco entertainment.
For outdoor lovers looking to kick off the summer season with a relaxing getaway by the water, Jellystone is quickly becoming one of the top destinations in the region. Located on Luke Powers Road in Lake Charles, the popular RV resort has earned a reputation for offering far more than a typical campground experience.
The resort features full-service RV sites with 30 and 50-amp hookups, luxury cabins, golf cart rentals, fishing areas, mini golf, gem mining, playgrounds, a giant jumping pillow, splash zones, waterslides, a swimming pool, laundry facilities, and even a café on-site. They are also building a new bar next to the pavilion for concertgoers to enjoy during the show.

This Memorial Day Weekend, festivities will feature a special Zydeco concert by Leroy Thomas & The Zydeco Roadrunners on Saturday night, May 23rd, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Organizers say the concert is open to the public, meaning visitors do not have to be staying at the campground to attend.
With live Louisiana music, outdoor fun, and family-friendly activities happening all weekend long, Jellystone Park in Lake Charles is preparing to launch summer in true Southwest Louisiana fashion.
