
Hooters Abruptly Closes Several Locations In Texas, Is Louisiana Next?
[KNGT-FM] Back in April 2025, we reported that Hooters had filed for bankruptcy, putting its current locations in limbo, as the future of the restaurants was uncertain, with questions about whether they would remain open or if any or all of the places would close.
The famous sports bar and restaurant filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in April 2025. Founded in 1983, the popular brand has been open for over 41 years now and is currently headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.

Hooters is known for its food, like its signature popular wings, and especially for the uniforms its wait staff wear while serving customers. Hooters has more than 430 locations worldwide.

Last Friday, we learned that Hooters suddenly closed 30 restaurants in multiple states on June 4, 2025. Three of them were abruptly closed in Texas alone. In Texas, locations were closed in Grapevine, Houston, and San Marcos.
According to USA Today, this is the list of all the states that have Hooters locations that were abruptly shut down.

- Tennessee
Currently, there are eight locations in the state of Louisiana. The locations are in Houma, Metairie, on Siegen Lane in Baton Rouge, Slidell, on the West Bank in New Orleans, Bossier City, on College Drive in Baton Rouge, and Denham Springs.
It looks like after the first round of closures, all the Louisiana locations were safe, for now. There is no word as of now on whether any or all of these locations are or could be on the chopping block.
