The nationally televised college football gameday show will spotlight one of the biggest opening weekend matchups in the nation as the LSU Tigers welcome the Clemson Tigers to Death Valley in what is expected to be an electric atmosphere unlike anywhere else in college football.

The appearance also comes during a milestone year for ESPN’s College GameDay, which is celebrating its 40th season and its 500th show on the road, and is known as one of the most iconic pregame shows in sports television.

This year’s Baton Rouge stop carries even more excitement because it will mark the official LSU coaching debut for Lane Kiffin. After taking over the Tigers program in the offseason, Kiffin’s first game leading LSU could not come on a bigger stage.
