The 2026–2027 Thoroughbred racing season is officially underway at Delta Downs Racetrack Casino Hotel in Vinton, Louisiana, following its opening weekend.
The track hosts live racing every Wednesday through Saturday nights with post times starting at 4:40 pm. You may not know this, but it is free to go watch the races, and you can even bring the kids out to see these beautiful animals race when you hang out outside by the track.

Getting there is easy. The racetrack is located on Delta Downs Drive in Vinton, just off Interstate 10. Visitors from Lake Charles can take Exit 7, while those from Texas can take Exit 4.
