Concerts & Events in Lake Charles & SWLA This Weekend June 6-8

[KNGT-FM LAKE CHARLES] -- The weekend is finally here. Has this been the longest week ever? We don't know about you, but we think it was. The good news is that we've finally made it, y'all, and now it's time to get out of the house, forget about adulting and responsibilities, and go have some fun.

So, what to do? There are concerts, live music at bars and restaurants, and various events taking place throughout the area. Here's what's happening this weekend in the lake area.

Downtown at Sundown returns for another week of the four-week series Friday night. This week, the theme is Rock and Soul night with live music from Dead Matadors and The Good Dudes starting at 6:00 pm. It takes place in downtown Lake Charles on Ryan Street by the courthouse.

Casey Peveto will be live at the Daq Shack in Westlake, Louisiana, on Saturday night playing inside the venue. You can catch Casey live starting at 8:00 pm.

Country music's Jamey Johnson will be live in Lake Charles at the Golden Nugget's Grand Event Center Saturday night. The show starts at 8:00 pm and tickets may still be available. Check here.

Rusty Metoyer and Zydeco Krush will be playing at The Daq Shack in Westlake, Louisiana, for a huge block party. Rusty and the band will be live outside the Daq Shack, performing live starting at 8:00 pm and playing until 11:00 pm. You can pay at the door tonight.
