Cowboy Block Party in Lake Charles Goes Totally 80s This Friday

Lake Charles, La [KNGT-FM] - Are you ready to rock? Did you grow up in the 80s, or do you love the music of the hair band rock and roll of the 1980s? Then this block party is for you. A southwest Louisiana favorite, LA ROXX, will be performing live at the Cowboy Block Party this Friday night, October 17th, presented by Lake Charles Toyota.

Not only is it another edition of the Cowboy Block, but it's also homecoming week for the Cowboys football team. Tonight is the annual homecoming parade in Lake Charles. The parade starts at 7:00 pm.

Then get ready to get your homecoming weekend started with a phenomenal concert from one of the premier bands from the '80s era, LA Roxx.

LA Roxx will hit the stage Friday night, and you need to prepare yourself to be singing along with the band and rocking out to all your favorite 80s hairband metal bands with hits from bands like Guns and Roses, Poison, Whitesnake, AC/DC, Def Leppard, Journey, Motley Crue, and so many more.

The Cowboy Block Party takes place at the corner of Common and McNeese Streets in South Lake Charles. Gates open at 6:00 PM, with food trucks and a concession stand on site. You're welcome to bring your own lawn chairs and an ice chest with your favorite drinks. Best of all, admission is free and open to all ages.

LA Roxx will hit the stage around 7:15 pm this Friday, October 17th, and play for two hours straight. Don't miss getting your homecoming or weekend started with the awesome free concert.
