Harvestfest Returns This Friday At The MLK Center
The city is coming back to a little normalcy with the return of Harvest Fest. This year after taking a year off will be at the MLK Center 2009 North Simmons Street in Lake Charles. We have been able to partner with Ward 3 for several years as they have put this event on. It was previously held at the Forman-Reynaud Community Center but had to be moved due to damage from the Hurricanes last year.
This is always a family-friendly event and is also being sponsored by Mike Smith Police Juror for District 2. It begins at 5 pm and lasts until 7 or until the last piece of candy has been given out. There will be live music, food, and drinks and the first 300 kids will receive hot dogs, chips, and a soda.
They are requesting that you wear a face mask as the trick or treating will be inside. Make sure to spread the word and tell all of the kids that you can find that this will be plenty of fun for everyone.
