Today in Tha Wire AllHipHop reports somebody tried to kill boxing superstar, Floyd Mayweather! The question is...why? In a crazy turn of events, the boxer and his entourage encountered a gunmen, while kicking it in Atlanta. Prior to the shooting,  Money May, made an appearance at Medusa nightclub, and then stopped for a bite at a nearby Waffle House. The star took the pic below and posted it to Twitter before heading to the club later that night. It's pretty erry to think that the tweet could have been his last communication.

According to a police report, the boxer and his crew were traveling in a 3-car caravan. While pulling up to the Intercontinental Hotel in Buckhead, the shooter reportedly pulled alongside them in a white suv, and opened fire. As shots rang out, the Mayweathers team took off in different directions. The shooter got in hot purute of one of the cars, but I assume they never caught up, and no other shots were fired. By the way, it's unclear as to whether or not, the boxer was in the car the shooter was following.

Atlanta's TV-2 reports the shooting occurred early Monday April 9, 2018, about 2 or 3 am in the morning. Unfortunately Floyds bodyguard, Greg La Rosa, was shot in the leg. Thankfully, his injury wasn't life threatening. La Rosa was treated at Grady Memorial Hospital, and released around 5:30 pm Monday evening. The good news is that there were no other injuries, and everyone is okay. The bad news is, police don't have a suspect, or a motive.

Wow! It's such a crazy situation. Of course the investigation is ongoing. As more info is available, I'll be sure to keep you posted. In the meantime, catch the daily scoop and the best of entertainment news on The People's Station 107 Jamz.
