There is some good news locally for those concerned with debris still on their property from the hurricanes. The Police Jury has extended the date to place all hurricane debris to the curbside. That new date is now Sunday March, 14. This has been granted to us due to the ice storm we had in Calcasieu Parish a few weeks ago.

Residents are being asked to sort all debris before placing it curbside. It would also help to rake loose debris into piles, as the collection truck's claws can't pick up scattered or loose items.
