Calcasieu Police Jury Hosting Annual Back To School Fun Day
Summer vacation is winding down quickly and the new school year in Calcasieu Parish is about to get underway. The City of Lake Charles wants all residents to save the date, Saturday, August 6, as this is going to be a day for families in the area to get one more opportunity to enjoy the summer. The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury is throwing a major end-of-summer party for the public!
Don't miss the annual 'Back To School Fun Day Bash' to celebrate the last days of summer ahead of the upcoming school year. The big bash is being sponsored by several local businesses, complete with free train rides, cotton candy, popcorn, food, refreshments, and a group of exciting games for everyone to enjoy.
The entire community is welcome to attend! It all will take place at the MLK Community Center on 2009 N. Simmons Street in Lake Charles. Saturday, August 6, 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. There will also be school supplies and book sacks given away, while supplies last, free COVID-19 shots, and so much more.
